Shiseido Pureness Deep Cleansing Foam
Coming from the well known Shiseido line, the Pureness Deep Cleansing Foam is sold exclusively through high end stores. They claim it will “lift away impurities” including make up and oils with a gentle, cooling feeling. You can generally find it for about $20 at retail stores, and apparent ingredients include benzoic acid, peony root, and rosemary to name a few.
However, there is no site or store that actually provides the full ingredients list for the Pureness Deep Cleansing Foam. The ingredients that are named really have no application to acne fighting or cleansing the face of bacteria for that matter. In fact, one of the ingredients they do bother to name is nothing more than a preservative. This doesn’t suggest anything good for the full formula. Add to that the fact that you can get a much better formula at less than half the price, and the appeal of Shiseido significantly drops.
We are not fond of companies who don’t provide ingredients list or really full information for the inquisitive or concerned consumer. Shiseido is no exception to this rule, especially with its inflated pricing considering what you are actually getting. Generally speaking, companies like this show off a few of their best ingredients. The ones mentioned by Shiseido are not facial cleansers at all. As such, it relies purely on namesake rather than quality, and we would not suggest it.
