Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash
Using salicylic acid to get rid of acne and prevent future breakouts, Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash is a residue free and oil free formula that will not clog the pores. It is apparently “dermatologist recommended” and without irritation. They also claim to use skin soothers to reduce already existing inflammation and redness.
The Neutrogena ingredients list starts off with fillers and preservatives. It finally gets to aloe vera along the way, which is only a soother. The rest of the ingredients follow suit, really including only fillers and one or two moisturizers. The only active ingredient, salicylic acid, can be found a dime a dozen, and it really has no promise beyond a cheap product anybody can manufacture.
Neutrogena is found in many grocery stores for a reason, it is cheap and each party can make a significant amount of profit while only charging about $5-$10. It can work, but if the skin sheds at a certain rate, it can also further clog pores causing more acne. You would need an exfoliator coupled with this ingredient to have maximum acne fighting results. We would not suggest using Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash
