Homemade Acne Wash
There is nothing more embarrassing than dealing with acne on a daily basis. There are so many remedies and concoctions out there it is often hard to know which ones will work for you. Oatmeal Cleanser
Oatmeal is a great way to exfoliate and soothe the skin. Start by putting ½ cup of uncooked oatmeal into a bowl. Add 2 tbsp. plain yogurt and mix into a paste. Apply this paste to your face and let it sit for ten minutes before rinsing completely.
Apple Honey Cleanser
This mixture requires apple juice, skim milk and honey. Mix 1 tbsp apple juice and 2 tbsp skim milk together in a bowl. Fold in 1 tsp honey and then apply it to your already damp face. Rub gently for about a minute and then rinse.
Strawberry Yogurt Cleanser
Start this mixture out by spooning 2 tbsp strawberry yogurt into a bowl. Add in 2 tbsp plain yogurt and stir until it is completely mixed together. Rub this mixture gently onto your skin for one to two minutes. It will help to calm skin oils and fight acne.
In addition to washes, there are excellent acne masks that can be made at home that can provide you with extra needed acne relief.
Baking Soda Mask
Baking soda has long been hailed as skin cleanser. This simple mask only has two ingredients, baking soda and water. Apply the mask and let it sit for 20 minutes before washing off your face.
Egg White Mask
Be sure not to use this mask if you have any allergies to eggs. Separate one egg white, beat it until it becomes soft and frothy. Apply it directly to your face and let it sit for about 20 minutes. You can do the same thing with an egg yolk.
Acne Tonic
For this mask you need 3 tsp of dried basil leaves and boiling water. Place the basil leaves in the boiling water and then leave it to cool. When cooled, apply with a cotton ball.
