In some ways, I have always been more of a silver fan than a gold fan.  When I saw celebrities putting gold creams on their skin, I always thought it was ridiculous, and I’ve never understood the greater value placed upon it.  I mean realistically speaking, silver is used for so many other things, and to me it looks less gaudy to say the least.  But this being said, gold now has a new use.  It is a powerful antioxidant even capable of producing more collagen in the skin to firm it up and otherwise. 

It has to be 24k gold or it won’t have the same effect, and quite frankly speaking, gold will kill off the free radicals and even the bacteria that contributes to acne and contributes to weakened and damaged skin in general.  So realistically speaking, gold is better than any other antioxidant in certain ways.  Gold has been used in some soaps and lotions now to not only kill off acne, but also to brighten up and clear the skin. 

It has been known to improve the skin as a whole, and frankly gold’s benefits in general are really coming to light lately.  I am definitely seeing the new benefits, and I would highly recommend its use for the common acne fighter and individual who wants to just see a generalized improvement in their skin.
