Acne In Women

September 1st, 2009

They say that boys break out in more severe acne, but I could swear that women often have to suffer longer lasting acne. For some reason, our hormones are always experiencing some kind of influx, even in later life whereas after a certain point, boys hormones regulate themselves and they don’t experience a sudden problem unless of course they take steroids or something. I mean severe acne when you’re younger is bad yes, but I would honestly prefer to at least at some point be done with it. I know I’m basically going to deal with it all my life.

My dad has never really suffered bad acne in the first place and then he grew out of it early. But my skin type is far more similar to my mom’s, and frankly she’s 53, and she has always suffered acne. She says it’s okay because she knows that it keeps her looking younger for longer, which is true. When oils stick around, then your skin obviously doesn’t dry out as much among other things. But realistically speaking, I can supplement in moisturizers and stuff. I can’t really just eliminate oily skin as I get older. And that is a problem.
